• Nine new HIV cases confirmed in GenSan


    GENERAL SANTOS CITY: Health authorities on Tuesday confirmed nine new infections of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) here. Dr. Mely Lastimoso, coordinator of the City Health Office’s Social Hygiene Clinic, said new cases brought the total incidence in the city to 159, which increased by 12 in less than a month. Citing results of the tests, Lastimoso said the new cases involved professionals, mostly males, and the youngest is 24.
