Nine prisoners escaped from penal farm in Camarines Sur


AT least nine prisoners escaped from a detention facility in a remote village in Pili town, Camarines Sur province on Wednesday, police reports said.

Reports at the Philippine National Police National Operations Center in Camp Crame said that the jailbreak occurred at about 2:15am at Tinangis Penal Farm in Tinagis, San Jose of the said town.

The reports named the escaped prisoners as Rolly Cabaltera, Rolannd Negrido, Juan Polidario, Gilford Embile, Muriel San Joaquin, Richard Tele, Erwin Capuz, Eugene Brutas and Cea Kalim.

Elements of the Pili Municipal Police Station launched pursuit operation, while penal authorities are conducting an investigation surrounding the escape, the reports said. ANTHONY VARGAS
