Expect cloudy skies with light rains over the regions of Cagayan Valley, Ilocos, Bicol and the Provinces of Aurora and Quezon on Tuesday due to the northeast monsoon or “hangin amihan” which continues to be the dominant weather system affecting Luzon, according to Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
PAGASA said the cold northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to at times cloudy with isolated light rain in the rest of Luzon including Metro Manila while rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
The state-run weather bureau also issued a gale warning with the presence of strong northeast monsoon as the sea condition will be rough to very rough due to strong to gale force winds expected to affect Northern Luzon and the eastern seaboard of Central and Southern Luzon.
”Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves,” it warned.
PAGASA added moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast with slight to moderate seas.
Meanwhile, PAGASA has not yet seen any weather disturbance near the Philippine Area of Responsibility that may develop into tropical cyclone. PNA
