ZAMBOANGA CITY: Security forces killed on Saturday a notorious bandit leader after he tried to toss a grenade to police commandos and army soldiers sent to arrest him in Zamboanga del Norte.
Yacob Iyong, also one of the most wanted criminals for multiple murder cases in western Mindanao, was killed over the weekend in his hideout in Sirawai town where security forces tracked him down.
