LIMA: The time is right for governments to introduce taxes on carbon emissions, which would help fight global warming and raise badly needed revenue, International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief Christine Lagarde said on Wednesday (Thursday in Manila).
“It is just the right moment to introduce carbon taxes,” Lagarde said at the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank in Lima, Peru.
