THE Nationalista Party (NP) is considering four potential candidates for the 2016 presidential elections, according to Sen. Antonio Trillanes 4th.
Those being considered are NP head Manuel Villar and Senators Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Alan Peter Cayetano and Trillanes.
Trillanes said Villar and Marcos, who have been quiet about their plans for 2016, are qualified to run for president.
Cayetano has expressed his intention to seek a higher post, while Trillanes admitted eyeing the vice presidential post.
Trillanes said there are no plans for NP to coalesce with other parties.
