A BOMBMAKER for the New People’s Army (NPA) and another rebel were killed while a soldier was wounded in a running gun battle over the weekend in Lagonglong, Misamis Oriental.
The clashes that started on Sunday morning until Monday morning resulted in the seizure of a rebel encampment with 20 makeshift bunkers that can accommodate 50 communist terrorists. Also recovered were one M203 grenade launcher, a 12-gauge shotgun, one M635 Carbine, an air gun, ammunitions, sniper scope, three backpacks with personal belongings and subversive documents.
