NTC to measure telcos’ broadband speed


The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) plans to buy an equipment worth at least P10 million to measure telcos’ broadband speed to check on the truth of their advertising claims. NTC director Edgardo Cabarios said that telcos should come up with standard measurement program to measure the speed which is common to all”. Telcos are required to indicate the minimum speed of their internet service in their advertisements and promotions.
