NU Lady Bulldogs eye 8th win in UAAP volley


NATIONAL University (NU) tries to stretch its winning run to six games when it faces University of Santo Tomas (UST) while Ateneo de Manila University tries to regain its winning ways today in University Athletic Association of the Philippines Season 76 women’s volleyball at The Arena in San Juan City.

The Lady Bulldogs, who are in second spot with a 7-1 record, are favored to pull through in their 4 p.m. duel with the Tigresses.

Coming off back-to-back one-sided defeats to defending champion De La Salle University, the Lady Eagles clash with University of the Philippines in the 2 p.m. match hoping to keep their grip of the No. 3 spot.

The Lady Eagles (5-3), who are two games behind the Lady Bulldogs, seek to move on from the consecutive defeats they suffered the Lady Spikers in a span of a week.

In the men’s division, UST takes on Far Eastern University at 8:30 a.m. and Ateneo faces La Salle at 10 a.m.

In softball at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, UST (6-1) tries to close in by a half-game behind unbeaten leader Adamson NU’s University’s misery in the 11 a.m. tussle, while University of the East and University of the Philippines, both toting 3-5 records, clash at 1 p.m.
