NUEVA VIZCAYA CELEBRATES 174th YEAR

By virtue of a Presidential Decree by then President Ferdinand Marcos, it was mandated that every May 24th is a special non-working holiday for the province of Nueva Vizcaya to give every resident to take part in the observance of the province’s founding anniversary. Today (May 24) this landlocked province, also popularly known as the gateway to the Cagayan Valley region, marks its 174th founding anniversary and it is therefore a special non-working holiday for government and private sectors.
