THE Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) commonly known as the
Number Coding Scheme will be lifted on Monday.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said since Monday is a holiday in commemoration of the National Heroes Day, the UVVRP is automatically suspended.
Vehicles with plate numbers ending in 1 and 2 are allowed on major thoroughfares.
Under the number coding scheme that aims to ease the volume of traffic on Metro Manila’s streets, vehicles are banned from major roads from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., depending on the last digit of their license plates.
The MMDA also announced that there will be no road reblockings this weekend.
