Some energy companies from New Zealand have identified the Philippines as a potential investment ground for more power opportunities.
Organized to coincide with the Asian Development Bank Business Opportunities Fair, a visit to the Philippines by 15 New Zealand companies is being prepared to give them a chance to look at prospective investment opportunities in the country.
The companies will attend a forum with Filipino energy experts to further explore potential collaborations in the sector.
New Zealand has world-class expertise in renewable energy and has longstanding ties with the Philippines.
“New Zealand and the Philippines have a long history of collaboration on energy projects,” said New Zealand’s Trade Commissioner to Philippines Hernando Banal.
“We are excited to host 15 world-class New Zealand energy companies here as the Philippines looks to build upon its considerable energy resources,” he added.
