WASHINGTON, D.C.: President Barack Obama called Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak to congratulate him on his election win and to welcome his effort to probe vote fraud claims, the White House said on Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila).
Najib’s Barisan Nasional (National Front) coalition, which has ruled for the last 56 years, won elections last week but the opposition complained that the victory was only achieved through fraud.
