WASHINGTON, D.C.: United States (US) President Barack Obama on Thursday (Friday in Manila) said global religious freedom was vital to US national security, and named China, and Myanmar among nations that should show more tolerance.
“History shows that nations that uphold the rights of their people, including the freedom of religion are ultimately more just and more peaceful and more successful,” Obama said at an annual National Prayer Breakfast.
