MINING FIRM OCEANAGOLD has donated P400,000 for the repair of an earthquake-damaged school building in Bohol that is being restored under the Bangon Bohol Program (BBP) of the province. Chito Gozar, senior vice president for Communications and External Affairs, said the amount is OceanaGold’s initial counterpart in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity (HH) for the Classroom Rebuild Project to support the overall BBP. Gozar said the amount was donated to HH to repair a three-classroom building in San Roque Elementary School in Cortez town, Bohol He said the elementary school currently has 187 enrolees, which reflects a decrease in the number of pupils because of lack of facilities as a result of the earthquake that hit Bohol in 2013.
