Office provider Regus to open Clark center

WORKSPACE provider Regus Philippines said Thursday it would open a new office center in Clark, Pampanga, banking on the area’s economic advantages.

Regus claims to be the world’s largest flexible workspace provider, as it currently operates in around 3,000 different locations in 120 countries.

Regus Philippines country manager Lars Wittig said the company feels that Clark can be an alternative business location to Metro Manila, especially for those who live in the northern parts of the country.

Dennis Wright, President and CEO of Peregrine Development International, said around 1,400 companies, most of which are foreign, are operating in Clark.

Wright emphasized the role of Clark in the country’s economy. He noted that last year, $2.1 billion worth of exports were made in the Clark and Subic ports.

He cited Samsung as one of the companies that have placed operations in Clark. He said the electronics firm exported $1.5 billion worth of semi-conductors in 2014 alone.

Wright said locating in Clark gives individuals less commute time, since there are no congestion and traffic problems.

Wright stressed that Clark provides proximity, as it is closely located to the North Luzon Expressway.

He said the economic advantages of Clark for businesses and individuals offer additional benefits like flexible working condition.

According to Wittig, Regus plans to put up 5,000 workstations all over the country by December.

The Clark center, which is set to open in few weeks, will have 145 workstations.
