OFW in Saudi commits suicide


An overseas Filipino worker (OFW) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (OFW) who was feeling restless for four days reportedly committed suicide after his employer failed to release his salary. A radio station identified the victim as Ronnie Lucero from Ilocos. Lucero works at Saudi Oger Company. Reports reaching the Philippines said Lucero committed suicide after he could not send money to his family because Saudi Oreg reportedly did not release his salary for the month. Lucero was found dead by his fellow workers at the back of their office. The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) have yet to confirm the report.
