OFWs in Afghanistan appeal to POEA

More than 100 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the American bases in Afghanistan appealed to Philippine Overseas Administration (POEA) to exempt them from the deployment ban recently issued by the agency’s governing board. Recruitment and migration expert Emmanuel Geslani said that the OFWs who appealed to the government were stranded in the country after they banned Filipinos to Afghanistan. He pointed out that some OFWs are claiming that the political situation in Afghanistan is safer than the situation in Libya.
