More oil companies cut pump prices


Several oil companies cut their pump prices on Tuesday to reflect movements in the international oil market.

Pilipinas Shell, Petron Corp., Chevron, PTT Philippines, and Eastern Petroleum slashed oil prices effective 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, while Phoenix Petroleum implemented a rollback at 6 a.m.

For gasoline, Petron, PTT, and Phoenix reduced their prices by 15 centavos per liter, while Shell and Eastern Petroleum cut their price levels by 10 centavos per liter.

Flying V was the first company to announce a rollback on Sunday when it reduced the price of gasoline by 10 centavos per liter and diesel by 20 centavos per liter.

For diesel, Petron, PTT, Phoenix and Chevron reduced their prices by 35 centavos per liter, while Shell implemented a 30-centavos per liter cut and Eastern Petroleum, 10 centavos per liter.

For kerosene, only the ‘Big Three’—Petron, Shell, and Chevron—mplemented a rollback, all by 35 centavos per liter.
