Oil companies increase prices

At least five oil firms on Tuesday conducted an across-the-board pump price increase of more than a peso, the third movement for the month of June.

In their separate advisories early Tuesday morning, Pilipinas Shell, Petron Philippines, Seaoil and Total Philippines implemented price hike on diesel by P1.45 per liter and gasoline by P1.05 per liter.

Further, a P1.30 per liter was added on the pump price for kerosene by Pilipinas Shell and Petron. Other oil companies have yet to announce their respective rollbacks.

The said movement, according to the oil companies, “reflects movements in the international oil market.

Last June 11, companies jacked up gasoline price by P.50 but slashing P.15 per liter on kerosene. Prior to that, oil firms raised prices on gasoline by P.70 per liter and P.40 per liter on diesel and kerosene.
