ADVOCACY groups have all the reason to be jubilant as the world’s first-ever national inquiry into the responsibility of the fossil fuel industry for causing climate change will be held on Monday in Manila, or one day after Human Rights Day.

Multinational companies in the oil industry including ExxonMobil, Shell, BP, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Suncor and Repsol are being asked to explain their role in making climate change worse and impacting human rights in the process.
