• Oil firms hike pump prices April 19

AFTER two weeks of price rollbacks, local oil companies will raise their pump prices of diesel and gasoline by P1.50 and P1.10 per liter, respectively, at 6 a.m., except for Flying V, on Tuesday, April 19.

Five oil players – PTT Philippines, Phoenix Petroleum, Unioil, Eastern Petroleum, and Flying V – announced the increases on Monday.

PTT Philippines will increase prices of diesel by P1.50 per liter and of gasoline by P1.10 per liter effective at 6 a.m.

Phoenix Petroleum Philippines also said its prices would raise by the same amounts, as did SeaOil and Eastern Petroleum. SeaOil likewise announced a P1.10 per liter increase in the price of kerosene.

Flying V announced a similar price increase, but will implement it earlier at 12:01 a.m., Tuesday. Voltaire Palaña

    1. How can there be oil price hike when the cost per barrel of oil is going down at an alarming rate. It appears that it is almost 30 dollars per barrel and our price still goes up by 1 pesos. Dept of Energy must start doing it job in controlling these increases. Oil ministers failed to freeze oil output because Iran is pumping oil now that their embargo is lifted.
