Oil firms set to hike pump prices

OIL firms are expected to increase prices of petroleum products this week.

Industry sources said diesel prices are seen going up by 60 to 75 centavos per liter.

Kerosene prices are set to be raised by 70 to 80 centavos per liter.

There will be no movement for gasoline prices.

The oil firms last week also increased prices of gasoline by 20 centavos per liter and kerosene prices by 15 centavos per liter.

They, however, lowered diesel prices by 10 centavos per liter.

The oil companies usually announce price adjustments on Mondays that will take effect the following day.

The sources said the latest price adjustments reflect the current uptrend and downtrend in global crude prices.
