On-trend, chic looks at Shang’s fashion fete

The Modern Retro

Lifestyle destination Shangri-La Plaza proved to be right on-trend as it presented its latest Shang Style Spectrum Fashion Show, Everyday Chic at the mall’s main atrium.

The fashion fete highlighted five of the biggest trends fashionistas should be wearing now, and key pieces from big name local and global labels that make for the chicest looks that take you from day to night.

Shang’s style segments included the clever and contemporary Modern Retro with its printed and textured, high-waisted and flared pieces; and the consistently carefree, effortless, and pretty, Boho, with its luxe flowing dresses, flare, fringe, and floral ensembles that continue to capture a large part of our fashion heart.

Fitness is still having its moment in fashion with Modern Athletics presenting all the updated sporty riffs—athletic dresses, graphic prints, and sheer panels. Many brands have turned their sartorial eye on Urban Chic, the elevated streetwear style with edgy, asphalt-ready looks. To cap off the trend round-up, Shang references fashion’s fascination with the Far East with labels showing pieces carrying traditional motifs and kimono cuts and detailing.
