FILIPINO-American fighter Harris “The Hitman” Sarmiento announced that he has signed up with Asia’s No. 1 mixed martial arts league One Fighting Championship after failing to renew his contract with the Guam-based Pacific X-Treme Combat (PXC).
The entry of Sarmiento (36-25 win-loss card; seven wins by submissions and seven by knockouts) into One FC will boost the tournament’s lightweight division. Sarmiento is expected to be pitted against top One FC fighters among them Vuyisile Colossa, Lowen Tynanes, Eddie Ng and fellow Filipino Eduard Folayang.
Sarmiento holds a 5-3 win-loss record in the PXC. He last beat Isaiah Ordiz via submission using a Kimura lock in PXC 35 in February.
A post on the official website of PXC on Thursday confirmed that Sarmiento has indeed left the league.
