ONE was killed and another was wounded after four unidentified armed-men kidnapped a businessman on Tuesday evening in downtown area in Cotabato City, police reports said on Wednesday.
Reports reaching the Philippine National Police National Operations Center in Camp Crame identified the fatality as one alias “Kaura”, while wounded was his companion was identified as Mustapha Usman.
Based on initial reports, Police said that Kaura and Usman were working as security escort for a certain Mike Guiamani, a businessman and owner of Sugni Superstore on Bonifactio St., Cotabato City. Reports said that Guiamani and his two escorts were about two leave his business establishment when four armed-men blocked their path.
The four armed men immediately shot Guiamani’s security escorts before forcing the businessman into a black Toyota Corrola sedan with no plate number.
The suspects immediately fled the scene taking the businessman. Meanwhile, Kaura died on the spot while his companion Usman was rushed to the nearest hospital.
Elements of the Cotabato City Police Office are now conducting an investigation and pursuit operations. ANTHONY VARGAS
