Online ticket sale racket uncovered

A new modus operandi was discovered by airport authorities after five departing passengers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 on Wednesday were found to possess airline tickets that did not bear their names.

The Philippine National Police-Aviation Security Group director, Chief Supt. Pablo Francisco Balagtas, said an airline supervisor noticed that the tickets were all under the name of one passenger.

The airline supervisor immediately informed the aviation police and accosted the five who were already at the boarding gate of Terminal 3.

The group, when interrogated, admitted that they bought the tickets online at low prices..

Balagtas reminded the public to be aware of unscrupulous individuals using the Internet through Facebook selling cheap airline tickets.
