• Onslaught, Coast Guard, Navy shine in seasports fest

    The Onslaught Racing Dragons ruled the Open Standard event, the Philippine Coast Guard took home the top plum in the Mixed Standard while the Philippine Navy ruled the Women’s small boat division of the dragon boat races of the 2016 Manila Bay Seasports Festival over the weekend.

    In the motorized banca competition, Marlon Morada of Batangas, piloting Blue Thunder dominated the Formula Race while Agoo, La Union’s Alvin Estacio, on board Patricia ruled the Stock Race capturing all four top spots.

    Boatmen from all over the Philippines competed in the races, traditionally dominated by competitors from Rizal, Bataan, Bulacan, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, La Union, Quezon, Ilocos Sur and Navotas.

    The Manila Bay Seasports Festival was presented by Manila Broadcasting Company and the City of Manila, in cooperation with the Philippine Coast Guard, Cobra Energy Drink, Alaska Kremtop, The Generics Pharmacy, Revicon, M. Lhuillier, My Juiz, White Castle, Executive Optical, and Herco Trading.
