• Orchard keeps lead in 67th PAL Interclub golf


    Stephen King Stehmeier carded 32 points while JP de Claro posted 29 as Orchard Golf and Country Club kept its hold of the lead with 238 in the second day of the 67th Philippine Airlines (PAL) Men’s Interclub Championship at the Negros Golf and Country Club in Bacolod.

    The Bukidnon-based Del Monte squad remained at the second spot with 232, while Alabang advanced to the third position with 227 dislodging defending champion Cebu Country Club that posted 110 for a two-day total of 225.

    Zamboanga stayed at the top with a two-day total of 200 in the Founders division followed by Tagaytay Highlands with 199 points.

    Alta Vista of Cebu registered the day’s best score of 104, an improvement of the 87 it notched on the other day.

    Running fourth was Manila Golf with 188 higher than the 94 it posted in the first day and similar to its 94 on Thursday. Mactan Island Golf is occupying the fifth spot with 186 followed by Iligan with 184 and Wack Wack with 183. Pueblo de Oro is currently 8th with 177 followed by Lanang with 158.
