World champion Dennis Orcollo claimed his seventh title this year after topping the 5th Annual Hard Times 10-Ball Open held at the Hard Times Billiards Hall in Bellfower, California. Orcollo, a former World 8-Ball tilist, banked on his experience to beat Mexican Ruben Bautista, 11-9, in the finals. He pocketed the $3,000 top purse while Bautista settled for the $1,700 runner-up purse. Guangzhou Asian Games silver medalist Warren Kiamco finished third overall for a $1,300 prize followed by Mika Immonen of Finland ($900) and Efren “Bata” Reyes ($700). Francisco “Django” Bustamante ended up 13th ($200). Orcollo made it to the finals by ousting 2013 Annual Hard Times titlist Immonen in the quarterfinals (9-5) and Kiamco in the semifinals (9-4).
