Young tennis star John Bryan Otico scored five straight victories to rule the 2015 International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior Circuit held in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
Otico pulled off a nerve-wracking 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 victory over Jack Wong of Hong Kong in the championship round to win his first major international crown.
He made it to the finals by trouncing Hao Sheng Koay of Malaysia in the semifinals, 6-1, 6-0.
The 16-year-old Otico also defeated Sanil Jagtiani of India in the first round, 6-4, 6-1; Rishi Reddy of India in the second round, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3; and Suphawit Sae-oui of Thailand in the quarterfinals, 7-5, 6-2.
Otico also grabbed a runner-up trophy in the ITF Juniors Danang City held in Danang, Vietnam.
He connived with Sae-oui in beating Nguyen Nhuit Hong and Hung Vo Hoang of Vietnam in the finals, 6-3, 6-2.
