A stronger peso and foreign currency movements saw the national government’s outstanding debt ease to P6.874 trillion last month, the Bureau of the Treasury reported on Tuesday.

“The national government’s (NG) outstanding debt was registered at P6,874.71 billion as of end-April 2018, P4.81 billion or 0.10 percent lower than the previous month due to the stronger peso and third currency fluctuations,” the bureau said in a statement.
