MORE than 400 students of various technical-vocational (tech-voc) courses graduated on Thursday at the Muntinlupa Sports Center in Tunasan, Muntinlupa City. Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) Director General Joel Villanueva exhorted them to be role models for other youths to follow in a speech delivered during the graduation ceremony. A total of 463 attended community/center-based training while 227 finished livelihood courses. A total of 218 individuals were endorsed for on-the-job training program, and 312 were endorsed for employment. Tesda, in coordination with the local government, also conducted Outreach Community Service Program. Muntinlupa City, along with other local governments in Metro Manila, are operating their own training centers that offer free tech-voc training to their constituents.
