P13.8-M marijuana uprooted in Agusan Sur


GOVERNMENT security forces uprooted P13.80 million worth of marijuana plants and seedlings during operations in Sitio Mactan, Barangay Kasapa-1 in Loreto town, Agusan del Sur. Chief Supt. Rolando Felix, Caraga police director, said the joint police, military and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives burned about 55,100 uprooted marijuana plants, which is the second most abused drug in the country and prohibited under the Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
