P20-M shabu seized; 4 suspects fall in Cavite

BACOOR CITY, Cavite: Police arrested at dawn on Tuesday four suspected drug peddlers and seized P20.8 million-worth of shabu here. Cavite Police Provincial Director, Senior Supt. Eliseo Cruz, identified the suspects as Isa Umpara Abundas alias Tarapas; Michael Ruiz Dumagay Jr.; Jamil Umpara Abundas alias Ato and Camallouding Ruiz Dumagay alias Nene. The suspects were nabbed during a buy bust operation by operatives of Bacoor City Police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) who swooped down on their hideout at Park Homes Subd., in Barangay Queens Row where a poseur buyer bought 50 grams of shabu using P50,000 marked money. Recovered from the suspects were 23 more plastic bags containing over 10.4 kilos of high-grade shabu, discovered in a suitcase of the suspects’ vehicle. Cruz said authorities have been tailing the suspects for months, believed to be part of a large drugs syndicate operating in the province.
