• P300M went to ‘Survivor’ production in Palaui

SANTA ANA, Cagayan: Now with a special 90-minute premiere on the CBS Television Network highlighting a cast of 20 castaways, the United States (US) Reality TV Series Survivor, has reportedly shelled out some P300 million for the production of its 27th season in Palaui Island in this coastal town.

Officials of the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) said that 60 percent of the total expenditures went to hotel accommodation and 40 percent were spent for talent fees and salaries of participants and production crewmembers as well as for logistics and miscellaneous expenses.

“You can just imagine how the economy circulated in Cagayan and the rest of the region as well as the livelihood generated for the villagers during the production period,” said Jose Al-deguer, CEZA seniordeputy administrator.
