THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) confiscated about one kilo of shabu worth P4 million during an entrapment in Cebu City and arrested a suspected big-time drug dealer. PDEA Director General Isidro Lapeña said the drug was seized from Jerome Fat Sosmeña, 31, of Barangay Luz. Sosmeña reportedly sold 10 plastic sachets of shabu to an undercover agent in Cebu Business Park. He also yielded 28 pieces of unused plastic sachets, a digital weighing scale, a mobile phone, six money remittance send-out forms, three deposit slips, five assorted receipts/ sales invoice sold to Sosmeña and a motorcycle. Meanwhile, the same unit arrested in a separate operation Gilbert Jatico, a security guard at an abandoned MCIAA Building along Airport Road in Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City, after he was caught sniffing shabu inside the compound that doubles as a drug den. Jatico’s companions – Gary Jeade Sollano and one alias Kokoy –escaped after sensing the presence of operatives. Kokoy was the subject of the buy-bust. Seized from Jatico were four sachets of shabu worth P200 and drug paraphernalia.
