P9.23-M chemicals, ‘shabu’ equipment destroyed


Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Arturo Cacdac Jr., on Tuesday led the tearing down of controlled precursors and essential chemicals (CPECs) and laboratory equipment for the manufacture of shabu worth P9,237,495 on order of the court in a treatment facility in Barangay Punturin, Valenzuela City (Metro Manila). Cacdac said that a total of 5,042 liters of liquid chemicals and 3,926,500 grams of solid chemicals were destroyed. Laboratory equipment that were confiscated during anti-drug operations were smashed to prevent them from being used again. IZA IGLESIAS
