REIGNING World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao and WBO junior welterweight titleholder Chris Algieri will begin today their seven-stop press tour for their November 22 fight in Macau, China.
Pacquiao’s long time business manager Eric Pineda said the press tour of Pacquiao and Algieri (20-0 log with eight knockouts) said the tour will be organized by international promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank Promotion.
Both parties are expected to update the international press on their trainings. They are also expected to make bold predictions on the possible outcome of the match.
The tour will also go to Shanghai, China on the 26th at the Sheraton Shanghai Pudong Hotel before flying to San Francisco, California on the 29th to attend the San Francisco Giants’ media day.
There will be a private event on the 30th at the Venetian in Las Vegas, Nevada followed by a program at the Dodger Stadium on September 1, and a press conference at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles on September 3. The tour will end in New York City at the Liberty Theater on September 4.
Pacquiao (56-5-2 win-loss-draw record with 28 knockouts) and Algieri are expected to be accompanied by promoter Arum trainers Freddie Roach and Tim Lane, promoters Joe DeGuardia, Artie Pelullo and Ed Tracy of Sands China LTD.
Pacquiao will return to Manila on the second week of September to start his training in General Santos City.
