• Pacquiao has 5 days to submit comment

THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) has directed Sarangani Rep. Manuel “Manny” Pacquiao to submit his comment before it decides whether or not to allow the airing of the lawmaker’s upcoming fight with Timothy Bradley.

Chairman Juan Andres Bautista on Tuesday said Pacquiao has five days to file his answer to the letters of senatorial candidate and former Akbayan party-list Rep. Walden Bello and former Senator Rene Saguisag seeking a clarification on the implications of Pacquiao’s fight scheduled on April 9, exactly a month before the May 9 elections.

Bello claimed that Pacquiao would gain huge publicity if the Comelec will allow the airing of his bout with Bradley.

Bautista said the commission will tackle the issue after the lawmaker submits his comment.
