Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao remains the top favorite among bettors in Las Vegas Nevada, in his upcoming rematch against Timothy Bradley on April 12.
Pacquiao, 35, is still enjoying a 2-1 lead in all Vegas betting lines since last week, lower than the a 4-1 lead he got before his first fight against Bradley in June 2012.
“Pacquiao’s popularity and fighting ability remains the only reason why most people are rooting for him,” said Pacquiao’s business partner Gerry Peñalosa. “Although Pacquiao lost to Bradley in their first meeting, they still know what Pacquiao could do to Bradley.”
Pacquiao (55-5-2 win-loss-draw card with 38 knockouts) is at -180 while Bradley is enjoying a +160, according to philboxing.com.
It means that you will need $100 in order to win $180 on a Pacquiao bet while a $100 bet on Bradley will net the bettor another $160. In their first fight less than two years ago, Pacquiao was at -450 while Bradley enjoyed a +360 payoff on a $100 bet.
