Eight-division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao and former world champion Mexican-American Brandon Rios will hold promotional tours for their upcoming showdown on November 23 in Macau, China.
The press tour kicks off on Saturday at the Venetian Hotel in Macau.
Pacquiao’s long time lawyer Franklin Gacal said Pacquiao is raring to bounce back from a terrible knockout loss to Mexican archrival Juan Manuel Marquez last year.
“Manny is very excited and I’m sure he will do his very best in this fight against Rios. He will train hard and he wants to prove that there’s more left in him. This is an exciting bout,” said Gacal.
Pacquiao (54-5-2 win-loss-draw slate with 38 knockouts) and Rios (31-1-1 card with 22 knockouts) will be at the Venetian Hotel at 12 noon along with their respective coaches, Freddie Roach and Robert Garcia.
Joining them are Top Rank Promoter Bob Arum and Sand China President Tracy Edwards.
The press tour will be going to Beijing on July 29 (Monday), Shanghai on July 30 (Tuesday) and August 3 in Singapore before heading to US for ESPN interview in Connecticut followed by press conferences in New York and Los Angeles California.
Pacquiao’s training will start in August in the Philippines.
This is Pacquiao’s first fight outside the US since his 12-round unanimous decision win over Oscar Larios in 2006 held in Manila.
