World boxing champion and lawmaker Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao said that he is willing to pay a stiff fine if he failed any drug test if ever the mega fight between him and Floyd Mayweather Jr. materialized.

“Nag-agree na kami sa lahat ng demands [nila]. Yung drug test, hindi naman iyon problema. Ako nag-suggest na magmulta ng $5 million pag ako nag-test positive sa [illegal]drugs. Ako nagpa-insert nun (We agreed on all their demands. As for the drugs test, there’s no problem with that. I even suggested that I pay them $5 million if it turns out that I get tested positive for [illegal]drugs),” Pacquiao told reporters in a chance interview.

Pacquiao was referring to Mayweather’s longstanding demand that he undergo an Olympic-style drug test before they face each other in the ring.

Pacquiao also said that he has no plan of retiring soon.

“Hindi natin masabi [na magreretire na ako pagkatapos](We can’t say that I will be retiring after that). Well, this fight needs to happen. The negotiations are almost over. We are just waiting on their announcement. We don’t have the right to announce it because it will violate what we agreed upon. It’s a 90 percent [good to]go. I have agreed to it…and Bob Arum as well…there’s an understanding [between parties],” Pacquiao added, referring to his promoter from Top Rank Promotions.

The 36-year-old Pacquiao, who has won 57 fights (38 knockouts) and lost five matches, is the only boxer in history to have been crowned world champion eight times in eight different weight classes.

Mayweather, on the other hand, boasts of an undefeated record of 47-0, which earned him the nickname “Money” since you are sure to win a big fortune if you bet on him.
