Former world champions Alex Pagulayan and Dennis Orcollo are now ranked second and third in the World Moneymaker List released by the Az Billiards.
Pagulayan, the 2004 World Pool 9-Ball champion, has so far earned a total of $80,417 winnings this year.
Majority of his prizes came from the 2016 Derby City Classic when he ruled the Master of the Table ($20,000) and One-Pocket Division ($12,000) then placed second in the 9-Ball Division ($7,250).
He also topped the Midwest Billiards One-Pocket tournament ($14,400), Don Coates Memorial One-Pocket Championship ($2,345) and 2016 Canadian Championship Men’s 9-Ball Open ($2,100) then got runner-up finishes in the Don Coates Memorial 9-Ball ($4,460), West Coast 10-Ball Challenge ($3,000) and 2016 Canadian Championship Men’s 8-Ball Open ($1,300).
Orcollo also had a blast in the latter part of the first half of the year to improve his earnings to $71,325.
He recently won the West Coast Challenge 10-Ball ($5,000) and One-Pocket ($3,300), the 4th Annual Cole Dickson 10-Ball ($2,300) and the Midwest Billiards 10-Ball Championship ($3,400).
Orcollo earlier dominated the Orcollo-Ko Challenge match for a whopping $20,000 prize then won $8,000 in the Break Room 8-Ball Classic, $5,300 in the Derby City Classic 14.1 Challenge, $5,000 in the 2016 Andy Mercer Memorial Championship, and $3,200 in the Sidepocket’s 9-Ball Open.
Pagulayan was sixth in the previous rankings while Orcollo was in seventh.
Chinese Shi Han-Qing is heading the list with $96,217.
The other Filipinos in the rankings are Francisco Bustamante in 13th ($23,650), Warren Kiamco in 28th ($11,155), Roberto Gomez in 40th ($8,090) and Efren Reyes in 43rd ($7,675).
