PAKISTAN Army chief Gen Raheel Sharif’s two-day visit to Beijing focused on the $46-billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which India has objected to because it passes through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
The CPEC is a key component of President Xi Jinping’s “Belt and Road Initiative” connecting China’s Xinjiang region to Pakistan’s Gwadar port.
