Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) cancelled four flights to and from Laoag City in Ilocos Norte on Sunday morning due to bad weather brought about by typhoon “Lando.”
PAL said the cancelled flights were PR 2196 (Manila-Laoag), PR 2197 (Laoag-Manila), PR 2198 (Manila-Laoag), and PR 2199 (Laoag-Manila).
The airline said the affected passengers will be rebooked on the next available flights once weather conditions improve.
Passengers with confirmed tickets may opt to rebook within 30 days from their original flight date, with rebooking penalties and charges waived. The new flight date must likewise fall within a ticket’s validity period.
State-run weather bureau PAGASA earlier predicted stormy weather over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, the Cordilleras, Central Luzon and the provinces of Rizal and Quezon, including Polillo Islands.
Meanwhile, rains with gusty winds will prevail over the Ilocos Region, the rest of Calabarzon and the provinces of Marinduque, Camarines Norte and northern part of Mindoro, including Lubang Islands.
PAGASA also said that cloudy skies with light to moderate rains will be experienced over the Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula and the rest of Luzon, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of Mindanao. PNA
