Philippine Airlines (PAL) yesterday launched a new code-share arrangement with WestJet of Canada, its ninth code-share partner, in a growing network of commercial alliances that is a key driver of PAL’s international expansion.

The airline said that the WestJet code-share is a straightforward arrangement where PAL places its code and sells seats on six select routes operated by the Canadian airline. These routes originate from PAL’s two gateways in Canada, Vancouver on the west coast and Toronto in the east.
