The Palace is drafting an Executive Order (EO) that will establish the portfolio for outgoing Senator Panfilo Lacson.
“The details are yet to be completed, but I am aware that Malacañang is drafting an EO for the office that I will be appointed to and its mandate,” Lacson revealed during the resumption of Senate session on Wednesday.
President Benigno Aquino 3rd has earlier confirmed that he offered Cabinet posts to Lacson and Sen. Francis Pangilinan. However, Lacson said he will not be involved in the government campaign against crime.
“It won’t be an anti-crime office. I have finished that job before as the PNP (Philippine National Police) chief. Now, I would be more comfortable with an anti-corruption office,” he told reporters.
