CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga: Elderly Kapampangan residents here have received P8.2 million early midyear cash incentives as part of the provincial government’s health assistance program. Pampanga Gov. Lilia Pineda personally handed the checks for P100,00 to 38 senior citizens at the Benigno Aquino Hall of the Capitol compound. Pineda vowed to extend assistance to the residents as they continue to locate other qualified program beneficiaries in the province, reducing the age ceiling to 95 years old instead of 100. The elderlies are also entitled to free medication in the province’s six districts hospitals, aside from free burial and funeral expenses for the indigents plus P1,000 monthly allowance while on sickbed.
