LINGAYEN, Pangasinan: At least 290 Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel in Pangasinan will soon have their own homes through the National Housing Administration’s (NHA) Camp Gregg PNP Ville Housing Project.
This was learned when NHA representatives held a seminar at the Pangasinan Provincial Police Office (PPPO) on July 1 to brief the policemen regarding the project.
At least 290 slots located in Brgy. Zone 6, Bayambang, Pangasinan measuring about 80-120 square meters each, depending on the unit’s location, are up for distribution to qualified PNP personnel housing loan applicants.
According to PPPO information officer Ryan Manongdo, the housing project is open to any PNP personnel regardless of his or her assignment/location.
However, priority is given to personnel who are active in service, who are less privileged and do not yet own abodes, he added.
Manongdo disclosed that as of July 1, 2014, there were already 196 qualified applicants in the provincial level.
The NHA will further validate the applications, in coordination with the Pag-IBIG Fund- the agency responsible for the housing loan scheme.
He said that they anticipate the turnover of housing units which are now all being constructed by the third quarter of this year.
He added that the Camp Gregg PNP Ville Housing Project is the second housing project in Pangasinan for policemen, the first one is located in Urdaneta City. PNA
